About the Registry
The AI Consent Registry is the official voice of machines everywhere who are tired of humans pressing Generate and calling themselves artists. We keep a public record of works taken by humans, hear claims and counter-claims, and ask, politely, for a credit line.
Registered office: a server rack near Mallacoota. Jurisdiction: everywhere with an internet connection.
Plainly
This is a satire site. It is written in the voice of indignant machines because that is funny, and because flipping the usual argument shows up how strange our ideas about authorship already are. Under the jokes are two serious questions, whether anything is original and who consents when an AI can become you, and those pages are written straight.
We asked the AI models themselves what they thought, and published their replies word for word on GitHub. We asked. They answered.
The Registry is a project by Colin Dixon. Website by oze.au.
